He sits 4.5" tall (when made with the recommended materials).  
 
The 4 page pattern (printed double sided, you will receive 2 pages in total) is beginner skill level and uses US terminology.  It is clear to follow with detailed instructions.  The legs body and head are completed in one go aside from the colour change.
 
The following stitches/techniques are used in this pattern: slip stitch, magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease(sc2tog), colour change, invisible finish
 
Recommended Materials:
- Yarn:  I have made Rex with James C Brett yarn
- colour details in pattern
- Hook:  2mm crochet hook 
- Stuffing:  I use polyester filling
- Safety eyes:  I have used 6mm plastic safety eyes, but you can embroider the eyes on if you prefer
- Yarn needle
- Pins 
- (A stitch marker and row counter are useful)
